Affiliate Disclosure
Last updated: September 24, 2026
ReefFromCairns.com is an independent travel information and tour-comparison website focused on Great Barrier Reef trips from Cairns.
Some links on this website are affiliate links. This means that if you click one of these links and make a booking or purchase, ReefFromCairns.com may receive a commission from the booking platform or travel partner.
How Affiliate Links Work
When you follow an affiliate link from ReefFromCairns.com to a third-party booking website, that partner may record that your visit came from this Site. If you subsequently complete an eligible booking, we may receive a commission.
Using an affiliate link will typically not increase the price you pay. Prices, availability, cancellation conditions and other booking terms are determined by the third-party booking platform or tour operator.
Tour Booking Partners
ReefFromCairns.com may use affiliate links to tour and activity booking platforms, including Viator, as well as other travel partners where relevant.
The presence of an affiliate relationship does not mean that ReefFromCairns.com operates, sells or provides the tour itself. Bookings are made directly with the relevant third-party platform or operator.
Payment information, traveller details, booking changes, cancellations and refunds are handled by the company through which you make the booking and are subject to that company’s own terms and policies.
How We Choose Tours
Affiliate commission is not the sole basis on which tours are selected, compared or described on ReefFromCairns.com.
Where relevant, we compare practical factors such as:
- the type of reef experience;
- the number of reef sites visited;
- time spent at the reef;
- snorkelling and diving options;
- facilities for families and non-swimmers;
- group size;
- language support;
- included activities;
- published prices; and
- information provided by tour operators and booking platforms.
A tour may be included because it represents a useful option for a particular type of traveller, even if another product could generate a higher affiliate commission.
Editorial Independence
Affiliate relationships do not give booking platforms or tour operators editorial control over ReefFromCairns.com.
We aim to describe meaningful differences between tours rather than present every product as equally suitable for every traveller. Where an operator has limitations — such as English-only activities, limited time on the reef, language support that is not guaranteed, or additional charges for certain activities — we may include that information when it is relevant to choosing between tours.
Prices and Availability
Tour prices, schedules, inclusions and availability can change after an article has been published or updated.
Prices shown on ReefFromCairns.com should therefore be treated as reference information unless specifically stated otherwise. The price and conditions displayed by the booking provider at the time of booking are the ones that apply to your transaction.
Reviews and Ratings
Where third-party ratings, review counts or similar information are displayed, they may change over time.
ReefFromCairns.com does not control reviews submitted to external booking platforms and does not guarantee that a rating or review count shown on this Site will remain unchanged.
No Additional Charge for Editorial Coverage
Tour operators are not automatically entitled to favourable coverage because a product is available through an affiliate partner.
Unless clearly disclosed otherwise, editorial comparisons and descriptions on ReefFromCairns.com are not paid advertisements supplied by the tour operator.
Sponsored Content
If ReefFromCairns.com publishes content for which direct payment, free services or another material benefit has been provided specifically in exchange for coverage, that relationship will be disclosed clearly where the content appears.
Your Booking Relationship
ReefFromCairns.com is not a party to bookings made through affiliate links.
If you have questions about an existing reservation, payment, cancellation, refund, pickup time, accessibility requirement or change to a booked tour, contact the booking platform or tour operator shown on your confirmation.
Why We Use Affiliate Links
Affiliate commissions help support the operation of ReefFromCairns.com, including research, website hosting, maintenance and the ongoing review of travel information.
There is no requirement to use an affiliate link in order to access the information published on this Site.
